I had read some reviews of the hotel before booking, so had heard the rooms were small. But I was still suprised by how small the double room was. It was about the size of Lindsay Lohan's prison cell. Carpet was dirty, not enough elevators and a/c was not very efficient. However, staff at the customer service counter were more than helpful. For the price, in Tokyo, I guess this is what one can expect.

Nice surroundings
The hotel lives up to its Renaissance reputation except the TV is still the old box type. It's in a new part of Seoul with wide boulevards and pleasant surroundings, and plenty of convenience stores and coffee joints. A 10 minute walk to the Yeoksam metro on the circle Line 2 with easy access to all other lines.

Tips
A very well maintained hotel given its years. Superb location with a splendid view of the city. Trade off, not near any metro.
